About Umgeni
Ever since the company was acquired by Malvern Engineering Works Pty Ltd of RSA and Minco Tech of Australia, the thrust has been on developing components with a focus on the mining industry. Plans are underway to augment necessary infrastructure towards this end. Meanwhile the support to the other core industries continues. We at Umgeni are versatile and open to challenges be it for high volume or low volume products.
Our History
We started life in the late 1890's as "Umgeni Engine Works, Foundry and Forge" and operated in the premises of an old cotton mill.
